This November treat clients and colleagues to an evening to remember in Truro, as Cornwall Cricket Centre plays host to a Dinner with John Hartson, Steve Harmison and Geraint Jones, hosted by Sky Sports’ Adam Leventhal. Our three star speakers are impressive raconteurs, and guests are certainly in for a treat as they delve into their successful international careers. Our venue for the evening is Cornwall Cricket Centre, which will be transformed into a spacious and attractive corporate facility, with a red carpet entrance, carpet on the floor and linings on the walls and entry corridor, to make a fantastic 250 person venue. Our Sporting Dinners are a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a night of superb cuisine, sporting chat and networking, with colleagues, clients and friends.
John Hartson: Former Arsenal, West Ham and Celtic striker John Hartson was a formidable opponent on the pitch, blessed with a strong physical presence allied with superb touch and aerial ability. In a professional career spanning over 16 years, John played over 500 matches scoring 206 goals, including 51 caps for Wales yielding 14 international strikes. Since retiring from the professional game in 2008, John has made his mark as a pundit, featuring on ITV’s FA Cup coverage, as well as regular stints on BBC Radio 5 Live covering both Premier League and Champions’ League matches as a summariser.
Steve Harmison: A fearsome sight in full flight, Steve terrorised batsmen around the world during a career spanning 63 Tests and 58 One Day Internationals. With 226 Test victims, he features highly in the pantheon of English fast bowlers. Steve played a pivotal role in the 2005 Ashes victory, and in a series of many defining moments, his dismissal of Michael Kasprowicz in the Second Test at Edgbaston with the visitors needing two for victory, is regarded by many as the most important. Shane Warne paid Steve a great compliment by naming him as one of his 50 greatest ever cricketers, in his prime he was probably the best fast bowler in the world.
